Google is once again honoring the UAE’s rich heritage, launching a special Google Doodle on Tuesday to celebrate the nation’s 54th Eid Al Etihad — a moment of pride highlighted across the Emirates. When users in the UAE visit the search engine’s homepage, they are greeted with a vibrant illustration of the UAE’s four-coloured flag waving against a clear sky, symbolizing unity, resilience, and national pride.

Today, December 2nd, marks more than a national holiday — it reflects decades of visionary leadership, ambitious nation-building, and an unshakable commitment to progress. Across sectors such as life sciences, entrepreneurship, real estate, sustainable development, and technology, the UAE continues to set benchmarks that influence and inspire the wider region.

Here are some of the most memorable doodles Google created over the years to honor the UAE’s identity. One homage featured an Emirati boy and girl accompanied by a falcon and an Arabian oryx — the latter once extinct in the wild but successfully reintroduced into its native desert habitat. Known for its ability to predict rainfall, the Arabian oryx remains a powerful symbol of the UAE’s natural heritage.

Another nostalgic doodle depicted a man in traditional attire walking a camel through the desert, with the UAE’s iconic skyline silhouetted in the background — blending heritage with the country's unmistakable modernity.

This year’s Google Doodle serves not only as a celebration of National Day but also as a reminder of the UAE’s remarkable journey and its continued role as a beacon of innovation, unity, and cultural pride.
