Traffic Black Points Can Be Cleared in Sharjah During National Day Period

Motorists in Sharjah can clear past traffic points by paying fines during a special Eid Al Etihad initiative.

Sharjah Police announced that traffic black points will be cancelled for violations paid between December 1, 2025, and January 10, 2026. This initiative is part of the UAE’s 54th National Day celebrations.
Brig-Gen Khaled Mohammed Al Kei, Director of Traffic and Patrols, clarified that the initiative does not apply to aggravated violations. Only points for offenses committed before December 1, 2025 are eligible.
Continued Discounts on Traffic Fines
The existing discount system for traffic violations remains active:

35% discount if fines are paid within 60 days of the violation (includes fine, vehicle impoundment period, and fees)

25% discount if paid after 60 days but within one year (applies to the fine only)
Severe violations and points are excluded from these discounts.
Why This Matters
This initiative gives drivers a chance to clear their records and save on fines before the long weekend, while encouraging compliance with traffic rules across the emirate.
