If you’re driving out of Sharjah into Dubai this week, here’s a heads-up: the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has closed the exit from King Faisal Street to Al Wahda Street heading toward Dubai.
The closure kicked in on Friday, October 3, and will last until Saturday, October 11.
Why the Closure?
It’s all part of road improvement works aimed at reducing congestion and making the daily commute less of a headache in the long run.
Authorities explained that while the closure is temporary, it’s essential to keep traffic flowing smoothly in the future.
What Drivers Should Do
The RTA is advising motorists to:
-
Use alternative routes.
-
Follow traffic safety instructions and on-ground signs.
-
Allow extra time for your commute to avoid delays.
