The Dubai Mall, recently crowned the most visited destination on Earth in 2024, has just announced major traffic and access changes due to ongoing expansion works. If you're planning a visit soon, you’ll want to allow extra time, because things are shifting.
In a social media update, the mall management shared:
"Attention: Due to ongoing expansion, specific internal roads and access points at #DubaiMall are temporarily redirected. Kindly use other entrances."

Key Roads and Valet Services Closed
To make way for construction, key internal roads, exit ramps, and valet services are being redirected. Specifically, the Lower and Upper Financial Centre exit ramps have been closed, along with the Grand Drive Valet service.
So, what does this mean for you? If you're driving, you’ll need to rethink your usual route.
Where Is Traffic Being Rerouted?
For now, all traffic is being rerouted through Grand Drive and the Cinema Parking P3 zone. These detours are designed to ease congestion during the construction phase, but they may still cause some delays, especially during peak hours.

Grand Parking to Temporarily Close
More changes are coming in June. The mall has confirmed that Grand Parking will be temporarily shut down, with a revamped Grand Drive expected to reopen by August.
The Grand Drive, for those unfamiliar, sits between Dubai Mall and the scenic Water Terraces, offering a direct and picturesque access point.
Plan Ahead and Follow Signage
Mall management is advising all visitors to follow the signage and allow extra travel time when heading to or leaving the mall.
These temporary traffic adjustments are part of a larger effort to improve access and enhance the visitor experience as the mall undergoes a major upgrade.
