Sharjah Launches Firefighting Motorbike to Cut Traffic Delay
A quick-response bike and AI-driven safety upgrades improve fire protection across the emirate.
Sharjah has introduced a brand-new firefighting motorcycle to help save lives and protect properties. Launched by the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, this quick-response bike is designed to navigate heavy traffic easily. It will take initial firefighting actions during emergencies before the main fire trucks arrive at the scene.
The new fire bike aims to greatly reduce response times, especially during the busy summer months. Summer temperatures in the region often put extra pressure on electrical systems and air conditioning units, raising the risk of fire incidents. This bike offers a fast and smart solution to beat traffic congestion.
Ensuring Safety Standards Across Sharjah
To further boost safety, the General Directorate of Prevention and Protection at the Sharjah Civil Defence recently held inspection campaigns. These inspections checked fire alarms and firefighting equipment across the emirate to make sure suppliers are following approved safety rules and technical standards.
Using AI and Advanced Technology
Sharjah is constantly working to prevent fire accidents by using the latest technology. The emirate is now placing advanced systems in buildings, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) playing a major role in making structures safer and more resilient.
Additionally, Sharjah Municipality is moving forward with its major safety projects. This includes a Dh100 million initiative to replace older building facades with fire-resistant materials. This project aims to upgrade 40 buildings across the emirate, with five properties already successfully completed.
