The contemporary wars are not about tanks, aircraft and missiles. Much of modern strategic competition occurs within computer networks, communication systems and digital infrastructure. The cyber operations have become more and more trusted by the governments and security agencies to obtain intelligence, interfere with the enemy systems and to influence the outcome of the military situations. Although these operations have hardly been documented in the media, scholars are of the opinion that cyber activity has now become an important factor in the way contemporary conflicts are formed and established.
