New visa fines for nationals and visitors have been announced by the UAE Digital Government in collaboration with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (UAEICP).

The combined fee structure is aimed at overstays on expired residence or visit visas in the country.

The amended restrictions impose a fixed fine of AED50 for each day after the visa's expiration date, including any grace period for visa renewal.

Individuals are urged to access information on the Authority's and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai's (GDRFA) websites, according to the Digital Government.

Entry and visa permit applications can be submitted via the authority’s website, its smart application, the Dubai Now application, and authorized typing centers.
