Good news for everyone who’s been living under the AC! The UAE is finally stepping into cooler weather this November, and the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) says temperatures could go as low as 17°C in some inland and mountain areas.
That means it’s officially time for evening walks, park picnics, and long-awaited desert adventures. After months of heat, the drop in temperature feels like a national holiday on its own.
What to Expect This Week
According to NCM meteorologist Dr. Ahmed Habib, the weather will be “pleasant and mild,” especially in the early mornings and late evenings. Inland areas might even feel a bit chilly — between 17°C and 20°C — so maybe keep that hoodie close.
The UAE is currently seeing northwesterly winds, which are helping to cool things down. There might still be brief warm spells, but overall, the air is getting crisper. By midweek, some light to moderate rain could also make an appearance, especially around Al Dhafra and southern Al Ain.
In Dubai and Abu Dhabi, expect daytime highs around 33°C–35°C and nighttime lows of 22°C–24°C, with temps dropping even further by Friday. The trend continues through November, right up to the official start of winter on December 22.
UAE Residents Already in Chill Mode
Many residents are already soaking up the early winter vibes. Dubai resident Yahiya Mohammed shared, “We were out in the desert last weekend, and it was already pleasantly cool. I can’t wait until it dips below 20 degrees.”
For Maria Gonzales in Sharjah, the change has lifted her family’s mood: “It’s such a relief after months of heat. We’re planning park barbecues and camping trips again — this is when the UAE really comes alive.”
Abu Dhabi local Suhas Rai agrees: “You can finally step outside without feeling the sun on your back. This is the best time of year to enjoy the outdoors.”
