Cannes Film Festival Hosted the Olympic Torch Relay

The Paris Olympics 2024 torch made an appearance at the 77th Cannes Film Festival in France on Tuesday, May 21.

Various French athletes graced the red carpet on Tuesday to participate in the relay including female basketball player Iliana Rupert, paracanoeist Nelia Barbos, para-athlete Arnaud Assoumani, Marie Patouillet, Marie-Jose Perec, and others.

The Cannes Film Festival hosted the Olympic torch relay ahead of the Paris Olympics, which will start Friday, Jul. 26 and end on Sunday, Aug. 11. 

The film festival will run until Saturday, May 25.
