COP28 Will Host More Than 100 Free Events for Visitors!

People in the UAE will be happy to know that more than 100 events and workshops at the COP28 Green Zone will be free for visitors.

People who visit the Green Zone between Dec. 3 to Dec. 12 will need a pass, which will be free of charge and will provide one-time access to the zone.

Gates to the COP28 venue Expo City Dubai will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The events and pavilions will begin operations at 10:00 a.m.

The airport-level security checks used during Expo 2020 will return during COP28.

There will be many exhibitions at the Terra Sustainability Pavilion at the Green Zone.

Daily programmes about food security, reusing waste, and composting will be held at the Terra Sustainability District.

Panel discussions amongst climate change innovators and entrepreneurs will be hosted at the new Expo City Dubai pavilion.

Cooking enthusiasts will also find free masterclasses available at the event with regional and global chefs.

COP28 will also open an organic farm as well as a farm-to-cafe during the event. The farm will remain open at the Expo City Dubai even after COP28.

The Green Zone will include the Sustainability District, Alif or the Mobility pavilion, the Vision and the Women's pavilions, the Surreal water feature, Al Forsan park, and some sections of the Mobility district, which will include the green and youth hub.

The general public can access these sites from the Opportunity, Sustainability, and Mobility arrival plazas.

An area is set aside for climate activists of the Voice of Action where they can protest for climate action.

The space will be located within the Green Zone and located near the Mobility Zone entrance.

The Green Zone will also host a Climate Action musical titled 'Alya in Terraland', which will run from Dec. 7 to Dec. 12.

Other than the organic farm, there will be an indoor hydroponic vertical farm with edible flowers, herbs, and greens as well as a mushroom farm.

The Green Zone entry pass will be available at the COP28 website.
