Authorities in the Emirate of Fujairah confirmed that a fire which broke out at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) on Tuesday morning, March 3, has been fully contained, with no injuries reported.

According to the Media Office of the Government of Fujairah, the blaze occurred after debris fell in the area following the successful interception of a drone by the UAE’s air defence systems. Emergency response teams were immediately deployed to the site and managed to bring the fire under control swiftly.

Officials confirmed that no casualties were recorded as a result of the incident and that normal operations in the oil zone have since resumed.

Fujairah authorities urged members of the public to rely solely on official state sources for information and to refrain from sharing rumours or unverified reports, particularly during periods of heightened regional tension.

The incident comes amid escalating tensions across the Middle East, with the UAE among several countries reportedly targeted in recent missile and drone attacks in recent days.
