Dubai Announces Five-Year Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa

Dubai’sGeneral Directorate for Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has announced a new five-year multiple-entry tourist visa for travelers of all nationalities. This visa allows visitors to enter the UAE, including Dubai, many times without needing a sponsor or host inside the country.

The visa allows a stay of up to 90 days per visit. Holders can extend their stay for another 90 days. However, the total stay must not exceed 180 days in one year.

Who Can Apply

To apply, the passport or travel document must be valid for at least six more months. Applicants also need a bank statement for the last six months showing a minimum balance of $4,000 or the equivalent in foreign currency.

A valid health insurance policy covering the UAE is required, along with a round-trip flight ticket.

Required Documents

Applicants need to submit the following documents:

  • A recent personal photo
  • A copy of the passport
  • A bank statement for the last six months
  • Health insurance documents
  • A return flight ticket

Visa Fees

The GDRFA has shared the fee details for this visa. The application fee is AED 100 ($27), and the visa issuance fee is AED 500 ($136). A financial guarantee of AED 3,000 ($817) is also required.

Other charges include AED 20 ($5) for guarantee processing, AED 10 ($3) for innovation fee, AED 10 ($3) for knowledge fee, AED 52.5 ($14) for service charges, and AED 21 ($6) for warranty service fee.

The total cost is around AED 3,713.5 ($1,012). The GDRFA said the final amount may change depending on the applicant’s case or extra procedure requirements.

How to Apply

Applicants can submit their request through three channels. The first is the GDRFA digital platform, available on the website or mobile app, and it works 24/7.

The second option is to visit one of the Customer Happiness Centers in person, take a queue number, and submit the documents.

The third option is through Amer service centers, which follow the same in-person process. The expected processing time is about 48 hours after all documents and steps are completed.

Visa Rules and Violations

The GDRFA also explained what happens if visa rules are not followed. Fines are collected at the time of departure, and the financial guarantee is taken according to the applicable regulations.

Visa holders or their representatives can also request a travel movement report to check entry and exit records and see how many days are left in the permitted stay. This helps avoid any violations.

Ideal for Frequent Travelers

This visa is a good option for frequent travelers, including tourists, business visitors, and people with family ties in the UAE. It offers long-term access without the need to apply again and again.
