Fire Reported at Fujairah Oil Industry Zone After Drone Attack

Authorities in Fujairah have confirmed that a fire broke out at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone on Monday after the facility was targeted in a drone attack.

According to the Fujairah Government Media Office, emergency services were immediately dispatched to the site following reports of the blaze.

In a statement, officials said the fire occurred after the oil facility was struck during the drone attack earlier in the day.

Authorities confirmed that no injuries have been recorded in connection with the incident.

Civil defence teams were quickly deployed to the area and are currently working to contain and extinguish the fire, while ensuring the safety of nearby facilities and workers.

Officials said emergency crews are continuing to monitor the situation closely as operations to control the blaze remain ongoing. Additional safety measures have been put in place around the industrial zone to prevent the fire from spreading.

The Fujairah Oil Industry Zone is one of the region’s key oil storage and bunkering hubs, located on the UAE’s eastern coast outside the Strait of Hormuz shipping route.

Authorities have not yet released further details about the extent of the damage or the source of the drone involved in the attack. Residents and the public have been urged to follow updates only through official government channels as investigations continue.
