Hosted at 421 Abu Dhabi, the Image-Makers’ Suhoor programme offers an evening for creative professionals and enthusiasts interested in visual art processes. The night includes artist talks by multidisciplinary artists and hands-on sessions like analog photography techniques and foraging walks for stop-motion materials — all concluding with a communal suhoor meal. Attendance usually requires RSVP.
For Poetry: A Writers’ Suhoor at 421
Taking place on February 26 from 9 p.m. to midnight at 421 Abu Dhabi, “For Poetry: A Writers’ Suhoor” offers a contemplative evening of literary creation and shared reflection for participants aged 18 and above. The programme brings together readings by invited writers including Sarah Afaneh, Maitha Ali and Farah Fawzi Ali, followed by a hands-on creative session led by Sarah Ahmed, founder of the independent literary platform Jaffat El Aqlam.
Participants are encouraged to contribute to a communal poem using a shared typewriter and collaborate on assembling an accordion-style collective book inspired by the surrealist “exquisite corpse” technique. The evening blends poetry, conversation and a light suhoor meal, creating a process-led space that celebrates literary exchange, creativity and community participation regardless of experience level.
Whether you’re in the mood for communal arts events, musical nights, creative workshops, or romantic strolls through Ramadan markets, the UAE’s post-iftar calendar for 2026 ensures there’s plenty to explore each evening of the holy month.
