 The “Sorcerer” Awakens — Will Byers’ Shocking Transformation

Perhaps the most earth-shattering moment of Volume 1 comes at its climax: Will Byers, long haunted by his psychic link to Vecna and the Upside Down, finally unleashes terrifying new powers. During a major battle at the military base known as “MAC-Z,” with his friends facing imminent danger from demons and Demogorgons, Will taps into memories, closes his eyes — and unleashes a psionic blast that decimates the monsters and saves his friends. His eyes turn white; the camera cuts to a bloody nose.
