According to Professor Ginestra Bianconi at Queen Mary University of London, in a recent publication in Physical Review D, a new quantum gravity framework termed Gravity from Entropy (GfE) attempts to unify the second law of thermodynamics and complex structures. The framework describes how order locally and cosmic structures like planets and living beings can emerge although total entropy in the Universe continually increases through time
