Abu Dhabi-Filmed Love in Slow Motion Now Streaming

What do you do when you have loved your best friend for years, but then find out he is getting engaged to someone else? This is the main story in Love in Slow Motion, Netflix’s new Arabic romantic comedy.

The film stars Nour Al Ghandour, Ali Kakooli, Noha Nabil, Fatima Alshereef and Shoug AlHadi. It follows Haya and Jawad, two best friends whose relationship changes in a big way.

Haya has kept her feelings hidden for a long time. When she finally realises she is in love with Jawad, it is already too late. Just as she prepares to tell him the truth, he gets engaged to Zeina, a successful actress played by Noha Nabil. Haya then decides to do everything she can to win him back.

During her journey, Haya gets help from her sister Dalal, her strong-minded aunt, and Cuba the chimp, who adds more fun to the story. She also shares her feelings through personal vlogs, which make the film more emotional and relatable.

Filmed in Abu Dhabi, Love in Slow Motion talks about friendship, missed chances and how love can come at the wrong time. It is a light romantic comedy with a mix of laughter, heart and simple life moments.

Written by Eyad Saleh and produced by Jamal Sannan and Eagle Films, Love in Slow Motion is Eagle Films’ third Arabic romantic comedy made with Netflix.

The film is now streaming exclusively on Netflix.
