Ramadan Recipe: Dubai Chocolate Samosa

Dubai Chocolate Samosa is a modern take on Dubai’s chocolate trend, infused with a festive Ramadan touch. Crispy samosas are filled with a decadent chocolate center, then coated in rich melted chocolate and topped with pistachios for the perfect blend of crunch and indulgence. A must-try treat for an after Iftar delight!

Stuffing

⅓ cup butter
1 cup Kadaifi dough, chopped
1 cup of pistachio cream
⅓ cup crushed pistachios, plus more to garnish

Samosa

7 square spring roll sheets
1 ⅓ cup melted chocolate (dark or milk)
Oil for frying

Flour Slurry

2 tbsp water
2 tbsp flour

  1. Prepare the Stuffing

    First, in a pan over medium heat, melt the butter then toast the Kadaifi dough. Then, add pistachio cream, crushed pistachios - saving some to garnish - and mix well. Once combined, take off the heat and set it aside.
  2. Make the Flour Slurry

    The slurry is essential to lock your samosas. Mix equal parts of water and flour to get a thick paste.
  3. Start Stuffing

    Take a square spring roll wrap and brush it with the slurry. Fold it into a triangle, then place a generous tablespoon of the Kadaifi stuffing on the edge. Fold from corner to corner until it forms a neat samosa-shaped triangle and lock it with another slurry brush.
  4. Fry the Dubai Chocolate Samosa

    Keep repeating until you run out of the stuffing. Then, grab your stuffed samosas and deep fry until golden brown. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess oil.
  5. Dip in Chocolate

    Once the samosas have cooled, melt dark or milk chocolate. Dip each samosa until fully coated, then sprinkle pistachios on top while the chocolate is still melted so they stick. Serve and enjoy!
