Meatloaf is a baked dish consisting of ground meat that has been combined with other ingredients such as onion and bread crumbs and molded into the shape of a loaf.

Meatloaf

1 kg ground beef (85% lean meat)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
1 egg
1 onion
1/2 cup bread crumbs
salt and black pepper to taste

Sauce

1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons mustard
1 teaspoon vinegar
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
salt and pepper to taste

  1. Prepare the meatloaf

    Combine ground beef, olive oil, onion, tomato paste, fresh parsley, bread crumbs, egg, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl, then transfer into a loaf pan covered with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the sauce

    Mix ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, garlic and onion powder, salt, and black pepper together in a small bowl, then pour over the meatloaf and spread it evenly.
  3. Bake

    Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for about 1 hour until the meatloaf is cooked through.
  4. !Let it rest

    Rest the meatloaf for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
