Salik and Dubai Airports to Launch E-Wallet Parking
New digital parking system at DXB to streamline entry and exit, reducing queues and enhancing traveler experience.

Salik, Dubai’s road toll operator, and Dubai Airports have signed a landmark 10-year agreement to introduce an e-wallet parking payment system at Dubai International Airport (DXB), in a major push toward smarter, more seamless travel infrastructure.

The deal, witnessed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of Salik, will see the Salik E-Wallet integrated with DXB’s parking systems from January 22, 2026. It covers around 7,400 paid parking spaces across Terminals 1, 2, 3 and the Cargo Mega Terminal.
Under the new system, motorists will no longer need physical tickets or stop at payment machines. Parking fees will be automatically deducted from drivers’ existing Salik accounts upon exit, making for a ticketless and friction-free experience for visitors and airport users.
Dubai Airports noted that parking is often the “first and last touchpoint” for passengers, and simplifying this process can greatly enhance the overall travel experience. By building on the widespread adoption of Salik, with millions of registered vehicles in the UAE, the partners expect to reduce congestion at parking exits and improve traffic flow around airport terminals.
For Salik, the arrangement represents a strategic expansion beyond traditional tolling into smart mobility solutions, aligning with broader digital transformation and sustainability goals across the emirate’s transport sector.
While the Salik E-Wallet will be a main payment channel, Dubai Airports confirmed that other payment options will remain available to accommodate all users.
The initiative underscores Dubai’s continued investment in technology-driven services that aim to make travel more convenient and efficient for residents and international visitors alike.
