Six Injured by Drone Debris in Abu Dhabi

Six people were injured after debris from intercepted drones fell in two locations in the ICAD 2 district of Abu Dhabi, authorities confirmed following a security incident involving aerial threats.

The Abu Dhabi Media Office reported that air defence systems successfully intercepted drones over the city, preventing further potential damage. However, debris from the intercepted drones fell in two separate areas within the industrial district.

The injured individuals were identified as nationals of Pakistan and Nepal. Authorities said the victims sustained minor to moderate injuries and received immediate medical treatment following the incident.

Officials urged the public to rely only on verified updates from government channels and avoid sharing rumours or unconfirmed information about the event.

The incident comes amid heightened regional security measures across the United Arab Emirates, where air defence systems continue monitoring potential aerial threats.
