Three women killed in Ras Al Khaimah after a road rage argument escalated to a deadly shooting; suspect in custody.

Three Women Shot Dead in Road Rage Dispute in Ras Al Khaimah

A man shot three women in an alleged road rage dispute in Ras Al Khaimah, for which the individual was arrested. 

"We received a report about a shooting incident in Ras Al Khaimah. Police patrols arrived five minutes after receiving the call, and three women were shot," the police said in a statement. 

The nationality of the individuals involved was not disclosed. Initial investigations revealed that the dispute began because of a vehicle passing through a narrow passage. After this dispute, the man took out a firearm and shot the three women. 

The three victims were transferred to the hospital, but they passed away because of their injuries. The case has been referred to the prosecutors. 

The police also said, "We urge people to control themselves in daily arguments. The law will be implemented against anyone who disturbs the safety and security of society."

According to UAE law, an individual needs a licence from the authorities to possess a gun. The regulation does not apply to a member of the armed forces, police, or security forces. 

Only UAE citizens can be granted a licence to possess a weapon. If anyone is found carrying a weapon without a licence will be imprisoned and fined up to AED100,000.
