UAE President Meets Sheikh Mohammed to Mark His 20 Years in Office

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Sunday, January 4, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Sheikh Mohammed’s leadership as Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

The historic gathering at Zabeel Palace brought together current and former ministers who served alongside Sheikh Mohammed during his two decades in office, reflecting on the nation’s growth and achievements under his guidance. 

Sheikh Mohamed lauded Sheikh Mohammed’s tenure, describing it as an “inspiring model of development” that placed people at the heart of national progress and aligned with the UAE’s forward-looking aspirations. 

“Today, we mark 20 years since I assumed the office of Prime Minister, two decades spent working alongside a dedicated team that has given its utmost to this nation,” Sheikh Mohammed said at the event, expressing pride in the UAE’s accomplishments and optimism for the future. 

Under his leadership, the UAE has strengthened its global stature, with Sheikh Mohammed emphasizing the nation’s commitment to a high quality of life, stability, progress and prosperity for its people.

Senior officials, including Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister; and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, were among those who joined Sheikh Mohammed for the milestone occasion. 

As celebrations continue, leaders across the UAE echoed sentiments of pride in Sheikh Mohammed’s achievements. They voiced confidence that the coming years will bring even greater prosperity and global recognition for the nation.
