India’s Central Board of Secondary Education has postponed Class 12 examinations scheduled from March 12 across the UAE and several Middle East countries.

In a statement, the board said the exams will now resume on Monday, March 16, citing “prevailing uncertainties” in the region.

Exams delayed across several countries

The postponement applies to CBSE-affiliated schools in:

  • United Arab Emirates

  • Bahrain

  • Iran

  • Kuwait

  • Oman

  • Qatar

  • Saudi Arabia

Officials said the board will review the situation again on March 14 before deciding on the next steps.

Students asked to stay updated

CBSE advised students to stay in touch with their schools for the latest updates regarding exam schedules and further instructions.

Class 10 exams already cancelled

The board also confirmed that all Class 10 exams in the UAE and the wider Middle East region were cancelled last week.

CBSE said details on how results will be declared for Class 10 students will be announced separately.
