If you usually book your cab through apps, heads up — Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) just rolled out new fare updates. The minimum fare for e-hailing taxis is now AED 13, while booking fees change based on when you’re riding.
Here’s the Breakdown
From Monday to Thursday, booking fees hit AED 7.50 during peak hours, AED 4 off-peak, and AED 4.50 at night. The same applies on Fridays and weekends, with flagfall charges ranging between AED 5 and AED 5.50, depending on the time.
Street Hail? No Change There
These new rates only apply to taxis booked through apps. If you’re flagging one down the old-fashioned way, your fare stays the same.
