According to the Saudi Arabian Committee for Sighting the Crescent Moon of Dhul Hijjah 1444 AH, the moon sighting was confirmed on Sunday evening.  As a result, today, June 19th, is the first day of the holy month of Dhul Hijjah, while Arafat Day and Eid al-Adha are set for the following days: June 27th for Arafat Day and June 28th for Eid al-Adha. 

Muslims in the UAE are expected to gather at mosques early in the morning to pray together for Eid al-Adha. Following are the timings for the special Eid al-Adha prayer in the UAE:

  • Abu Dhabi: 5:53 am
  • Dubai: 5:50 am
  • Sharjah: 5:47 am
  • Ajman: 5:47 am
  • Umm Al Quwain: 5:46 am
  • Fujairah: 5:44 am
  • Ras Al Khaimah: 5:44am

Depending on the city, the Eid al-Adha prayer timing in the UAE could differ.
