At 1:39 am, Jordanian couple Rehaf Mohamed Mansour and Ibrahim Abdel celebrated the birth of their daughter Sila at NMC Royal Hospital in Abu Dhabi. It’s the first child for the couple, and they couldn’t be happier.

“She’s our Eid gift,” said Ibrahim, a computer engineer based in the capital. Sila was born at 39 weeks, weighing 3.56kg, and both mother and baby are healthy, confirmed Dr. Eman Sadek, the attending specialist.

Dubai also witnessed a couple of special deliveries. Indian expats Nikita Paresh Wadka and Yogesh became parents to a baby boy at 1:54 am at Prime Hospital. Weighing 2.9kg, the baby is the couple’s first child.

Just a few hours later, at 4:39 am, another baby boy was born at Aster Hospital in Qusais to Indian parents Haneena and Mansoor. Their newborn weighed 3.32kg, and both mother and baby are doing well, said Dr. Chitra Gopalakrishnan, who led the delivery.

“We’re overwhelmed with happiness. It’s a blessing to become parents on Eid,” said the couple, expressing thanks to the hospital staff.
