Dog lovers, get ready—Dubai is welcoming Barkfest back this Saturday, April 4, from 1pm to 9pm at Barasti Beach. The festival promises a day full of sun, sea, and wagging tails for families and their four-legged companions.

Fun in the sun for dogs and humans

Barkfest offers beach access and swimming, with dedicated off-leash zones for small and large dogs to play safely. Visitors can relax on cabanas and sun loungers, enjoy floating platforms in the sea, or let kids explore the play area. The first 100 dogs through the gates will also receive a special gift.

Dog Show steals the spotlight

From 5pm to 6:30pm, the Dog Show takes centre stage with categories like Happiest Dog, Small & Sassy, Fluffiest Floof, Quickest Sit, Cutest Cross, and Best Beach Style. Every participant gets a rosette, while winners take home prizes.

More activities and treats

Dogs can join a foam pawty while live music sets the mood. A mini market will feature popular pet and lifestyle brands including Puppy Yoga, Perro Dog Collars, Puprazy, Nama, Marvelous Puppy, Buho Boost, Wunderdog, Cosmopets, Paw Haven, Chiku Designs, and Puffy Woof. Foodies can enjoy Barasti’s à la carte menu and special promotions throughout the day.

Tickets and rules

Entry is Dhs30 per person (free for children under 12 and dogs). Tickets are available via Platinumlist or at the door.

Important reminders for dog owners: all dogs must be social and non-reactive, vaccinations must be up to date, and a pet passport or VacciCheck certificate is required. Restricted breeds are not permitted.
