With the historic implementation of the India-UK FTA on 15th July, 2026, customs duties for qualified British-manufactured premium luxury vehicles imported into the Indian market will drop from a massive 110% to just 30% in year one, states a government official in the report released by the DGFT and the British High Commission. A further phased reduction down to 10% over 5 years through a tariff rate quota (TRQ) means a dramatic breakthrough in market access for these legendary British cars.
