Dubai Launches Golden Visa Program for Filipino Investors

Dubai has officially opened its “golden visa” program to Filipino investors, offering a 10-year residency for those who invest at least 2 million UAE dirhams (around P32 million) in eligible Dubai properties.

How It Works

The visa does not grant UAE citizenship, and the 10-year residency is the maximum term. After this period, investors can renew their residency by reinvesting in Dubai property.

Vicky Luis, founder of Golden Visa Centrale, said the program is flexible, allowing investors to structure residency around wealth planning, business expansion, or family relocation. Processing can take as little as two weeks, subject to approval.

The program is run in partnership with Arish Capital Partners.

Investment Opportunities

One option is luxury villas on Palm Jumeirah, Dubai’s iconic artificial island. A villa valued at 40 million dirhams (P641 million) can be co-owned by at least 20 investors, each contributing the minimum 2 million dirhams to qualify for the golden visa.

Investors hold property titles, while leasing and property management are handled by the program. By the end of 10 years, investors can expect capital appreciation of around 900,000 dirhams and rental income of 940,000 dirhams, with the property bought back at the term’s end.

Perks and Benefits

The golden visa targets high-net-worth individuals, their families, and businesses looking to expand internationally. Dubai offers no taxes on capital gains, income, or inheritance, and corporate tax applies only to companies earning above $800,000.

Luis noted that as Dubai’s economy grows, Filipinos can enjoy both financial gains and a luxurious lifestyle. Globally, golden visa programs are gaining traction, with over 309,000 applications issued as of mid-2025.

Boosting Philippines-UAE Relations

The Philippine launch comes shortly after a free trade agreement between Manila and the UAE, the first such deal with a Middle Eastern country, reflecting growing trade and investment opportunities.
