Happiness thrives among the people of India as the UK PM Rishi Sunak lands here for the G20 Summit  being held between 9-10 September 2023. It is at the Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition-Convention Center in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. It is a proud moment for the country since it is the first G20 Summit in India and South Asia. Rishi Sunak is widely adored by everyone for being the first Prime Minister of color in the United Kingdom and hailing from a Hindu background. In an interview, Mr. Sunak expressed his enthusiasm for his trip to Delhi and how excited he had felt on his first visit to India since becoming the UK PM. One could imagine the warm reception that Sunak received upon entering India due to his charismatic personality. Sunak respects and follows Indian traditional values ​​and customs, being from a Hindu background and sprinkles his love on India for being a spiritual country. 

TRADE DEAL WITH INDIA 

Apart from indulging in the rich history of India and savoring his favorite Indian mithai (sweets), Rishi Sunak plans to make a trade deal with India during his trip. India holds a special place in the UK PM’s heart as he directly quotes from an interview with The Guardian Magazine: “It’s special. I will be visiting a country that is very near and dear to me. I haven’t been back for a few years.” 

VISITING TEMPLES 

Rishi Sunak has unique plans to visit the famous temples of India along with his wife and enlighten his deep faith in Hinduism. He is starting by visiting the vast Akshardham Hindu temple during the weekend. One more unique feature of Sunak’s visit is people’s immense devotion towards him, as street vendors in India started selling his paintings with best wishes for the British PM before his arrival.

Numerous special guests are arriving in India for the G20 Summit, including US President Joe Biden and several heads of state from European countries.
