Lamb Sausage Rolls

500g ground lamb
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Sesame seeds for garnish

  1. Preheat the Oven

    Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Lamb Mixture

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Roll Out the Puff Pastry

    Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry into rectangles, about 5 inches long and 3 inches wide.
  4. Fill and Roll the Sausage Rolls

    Spoon the lamb mixture onto one end of each pastry rectangle, then roll it up tightly, sealing the edges with a bit of water.
  5. Arrange on Baking Sheet

    Place the rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds for garnish.
  6. Bake until Golden Brown
