A treasure trove of the deepest whale graveyard ever uncovered in the Indian Ocean has given scientists a previously unseen viewpoint of one of the ocean's most mysterious ecosystems. Situated thousands of metres below the ocean surface, this incredible site was the original remains of several whales that over time sank down to a depth to give rise to interesting habitats, which support diverse species of ocean life, and provide important clues to life in the oceans and ocean processes.
