Simu Liu to Attend MEFCC 2026 in Abu Dhabi
The Shang-Chi star will meet fans in Abu Dhabi on April 25–26, 2026, at the Middle East Film & Comic Con.

Abu Dhabi’s pop culture calendar just got a major boost as Simu Liu has been confirmed as a special guest for Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) 2026.
The actor, best known for his role as Shang-Chi in Marvel’s ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’, will appear at the event on April 25 and 26, 2026.
Organisers announced the appearance with a celebratory message highlighting Liu’s diverse career — from saving the world with the Ten Rings, to stealing scenes as Ken in Barbie, and winning over audiences as Jung Kim in the hit sitcom Kim’s Convenience. The announcement confirms that fans in the region will get the chance to meet the actor in person, attend his sessions, and take part in autograph and photo opportunities during the two-day appearance.
MEFCC, held annually in Abu Dhabi, is one of the Middle East’s biggest pop culture conventions, bringing together stars from film, TV, comics, gaming and anime. Liu’s addition to the 2026 line-up is expected to draw huge interest from Marvel fans and general audiences alike, given his rising profile in Hollywood and his growing list of high-profile roles.
