If you’ve been out after iftar lately, you’ve probably noticed it. Parts of Dubai are glowing.

From mosque domes to heritage walkways, projection lights are turning familiar spots into moving canvases of Islamic patterns, calligraphy, and colour. And yes, your feed isn’t imagining it — the displays are already making rounds on social media.

The citywide experience is called Ramadan Reflections (Atyaf Ramadaniyah), and it runs nightly until March 22, from 7pm to 2am.

8 Mosques, One Citywide Glow-Up

At the heart of the experience are eight mosques across Dubai, each lit up in a slightly different way.

Some feature full 360-degree projections wrapping around domes and minarets. Others highlight one or two façades, creating specific viewing spots for visitors.

  • Zaabeel Mosque – 1-face projection

  • Hudaiba Mosque – 360-degree projection

It’s Not Just Mosques

The glow doesn’t stop there.

At Al Seef, public-space installations stretch across heritage walkways, adding to the evening stroll atmosphere. Over at Dubai Festival City Mall, the InterContinental building façade becomes part of the show with large-scale projections lighting up the waterfront area.

It’s less of a loud festival scene and more of a calm Ramadan night out — families walking after iftar, kids pointing at the changing lights, people heading to taraweeh prayers, and photographers quietly setting up tripods.

The displays run daily from 7pm to 2am, perfectly timed for post-iftar outings.
