If you were around Al Karama on Friday evening and spotted flashing lights, here’s what went down. A small fire broke out in a residential building near Karama Park, but it was handled fast — and no one was hurt.
Authorities confirmed the incident was minor and fully under control within minutes.
What Happened
At 7.43pm, Dubai Civil Defence received a call about a fire in a building located behind Karachi Darbar restaurant in Al Karama. The Al Karama Fire Station team was dispatched immediately.
Firefighters reached the scene at 7.47pm — just four minutes later — and found that the fire had started in an advertising signboard belonging to a shop inside the building.

Fire Contained in Minutes
By 7.55pm, the blaze had been contained. The on-site commander confirmed the fire was under control and cooling operations were underway to prevent any flare-ups.
No injuries were reported.
