If you were around Al Karama on Friday evening and spotted flashing lights, here’s what went down. A small fire broke out in a residential building near Karama Park, but it was handled fast — and no one was hurt.

Authorities confirmed the incident was minor and fully under control within minutes.

What Happened

At 7.43pm, Dubai Civil Defence received a call about a fire in a building located behind Karachi Darbar restaurant in Al Karama. The Al Karama Fire Station team was dispatched immediately.

Firefighters reached the scene at 7.47pm — just four minutes later — and found that the fire had started in an advertising signboard belonging to a shop inside the building.

Fire Contained in Minutes

By 7.55pm, the blaze had been contained. The on-site commander confirmed the fire was under control and cooling operations were underway to prevent any flare-ups.

No injuries were reported.

Quick Response, No Damage Escalation

Thanks to the rapid response, the situation didn’t escalate. What could have turned into something bigger was shut down in under 15 minutes.

For residents in the busy Karama area, it was a brief scare — but one that ended safely and swiftly.
