When Will Ramadan 2025 Begin
Though Ramadan 2025 is still some time away, you might be curious about its start date. According to Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Astronomy Society, the crescent moon marking the start of Ramadan 1446 AH will appear on Friday, February 28, 2025. This means Ramadan is likely to begin on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Awaiting Official Confirmation
While these astronomical predictions provide a good estimate, the official start of Ramadan will be confirmed by the UAE Moon Sighting Committee. This committee typically meets a few days before the expected date to observe the moon and make an official announcement.

The Lunar Calendar and Ramadan
