No Impact on Final Results

The Ministry of Education in the UAE has introduced changes to the assessment methods for certain subjects taught through distance learning, assuring students that the modifications will not affect their final results.

In an official statement, the ministry outlined that the new mechanism applies to subjects categorized under the "B group" within the remote learning framework. This adjustment is designed to ensure a fair evaluation process while maintaining academic standards throughout the distance learning period.

Subjects Divided into Two Categories

Under the revised approach, subjects will be divided into two distinct categories. The first category encompasses subjects that will not be assessed during the third academic term due to the ongoing suspension of in-person classes. For these subjects, final grades will be calculated using students’ performance from the first and second academic terms.

The second category comprises subjects where assessments remain unchanged. For these, students will continue to be evaluated based on their participation in activities, projects, and assignments. Teachers will conduct these evaluations flexibly, recording them through approved learning management systems.

Supporting Students and Educational Continuity

The Ministry emphasized that these changes aim to support students and ensure the continuation of education without placing undue disadvantages on learners during remote learning periods.
