Dubai Marathon 2026 Is Officially Open for Registration

Lace up, Dubai — the countdown to the city's biggest race has begun! Registration is now live for the 25th edition of the Dubai Marathon, taking over the streets on February 1, 2026. And yes, it's a silver jubilee celebration.

Recognized as the oldest international road race in the Middle East, the Dubai Marathon has gone from local run to global phenomenon over the past two and a half decades. And this year? It’s not just about breaking personal records — it's about honoring a legacy that includes legends like Haile Gebrselassie, who stunned the world in 2008 by clocking the second-fastest marathon time in history at the time.

Backed once again by the Dubai Sports Council, the 2026 edition is expected to welcome participants from 140+ countries, turning the emirate into a global hub for elite competition and community vibes. Known for its fast and flat course, the event continues to attract Olympic champs and rising stars alike — like Tamirat Tola, Ruth Chepngetich, and most recently, Ethiopian champs Boti Gelemeshu and Berdado Hirpa, who lit up the 2024 race with epic finishes.

And don’t worry — it’s not just for pros. Whether you’re going all-in for the 42.195 km marathon, taking on the 10K, or vibing your way through the 4K fun run, there’s a race for every pace.

Expect big things this year: special anniversary events, international fanfare, and maybe a few surprises along the route. The Dubai Marathon isn’t just a race — it’s a whole mood.
