Dubai Ranks as Third Best Winter Sun Destination

Dubai has ranked as the third-best winter sun destination in the world, with close to nine hours of daily sunlight, according to research done by long-haul travel specialists Travelbag.

The Gulf city's winter months offer much warmer weather: the average temperature during this time of year is a very pleasant 24.6°C.

Dubai ranks number three following Santiago and Cape Town in the first and second places, respectively. 

Here is a list of the top 10 winter sun destinations:

  2. Cape Town
  3. Dubai
  4. Siem Reap
  5. Doha
  6. Bora Bora
  7. Abu Dhabi
  8. Bangkok
  9. Marrakech
  10. Punta Cana

The cities were ranked based on a series of metrics, including average temperatures, number of sunshine hours, and amount of rainfall. 

Each location is a haven of warmth and excitement during the winter months.
