Dubai Ranks as the No. 1 City Expats Want to Live In

A recent analysis of Google search data by Remitly, a financial services provider catering mainly to expatriates and migrants, has unveiled Dubai as the most desired city for foreigners seeking to live abroad. The extensive study, spanning 164 countries and a 12-month time frame, identified the Gulf metropolis as the top destination for those considering international relocation, surpassing renowned cities like Paris and Miami.

Notably, the search term "Move to Dubai" claimed the top spot in an impressive 60 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. The data-driven map, which replaced country names with the cities people most yearn to migrate to, highlights Dubai's charm as a global hotspot.

Remitly emphasized that Dubai's popularity as a relocation choice can be attributed to its diverse job opportunities, expanding infrastructure, exceptional healthcare and education facilities, and the promise of no income tax.

The city, often affectionately referred to as the 'Jewel of the Desert,' has experienced large population growth, reaching a milestone of 3.6 million residents in 2023. This revelation underscores Dubai's status as a magnet for expats from all corners of the world, who are drawn to its vibrant lifestyle, economic opportunities, and tax-friendly environment.
