If time is limited, a minimum of 1 hour is sufficient, but longer marination enhances the delightful blend of flavors.

When you're ready to cook, bring the marinated chicken to room temperature. In a pan, place the chicken pieces, add 1 cup of water, and bring it to a simmer for about 15 minutes or until most of the liquid evaporates. Introduce cooking oil to the pan and cook the chicken Tocino until the liquid thickens to a syrupy consistency, giving the chicken a slightly charred finish. Serve this delicious dish immediately with rice, vegetables on the side, and an egg for a wholesome meal that provides energy throughout the day.
