UAE Ranks 22nd Among Countries with Richest Individuals

UAE is home to 24 billionaires, ranking 22nd among countries hosting the richest individuals, according to the 2024 Hurun Global Rich List.

Hurun is a research, media, and investment group that promotes entrepreneurship with its research and lists. The Global Rich List ranked 3,279 billionaires from 2,435 companies and 73 countries.

According to the list, China held the top position with 814 billionaires.

The USA followed in the second position with 800 billionaires, while India ranked third with 271 billionaires, beating the UK with 146 billionaires which ranks fourth.

Other countries that made it to the top ten are Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Italy, France, and Brazil.

According to the list, the richest person is the CEO of Tesla and the executive chairman of X Elon Musk with $231 billion.

Jeff Bezos follows in the second position with $185 billion and Bernard Arnault ranks third with $175 billion.

CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg ranked fourth with $158 billion, while the former CEO of Microsoft Bill Gates ranked seventh.

Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani made it to the top ten of richest individuals with $115 billion and remains the richest person in India.

Amabni made headlines in early March for his son Anant Ambani's lavish pre-wedding festivities.
