As we are getting into summer, we do not only need to stay hydrated but also, we need to be aware of skin dehydration.

Dehydrated skin means that your skin is lacking water. It can be dry and itchy and perhaps dull looking, too. Your overall tone and complexion may appear uneven, and fine lines are more noticeable. While dehydrated skin can be a nuisance, it's relatively easy to treat with the right lifestyle changes.

It is important to take care of our skin in the summer and in case you are wondering how, well we got you.

  • Face Wash

With the heat and sweat it is crucial and important to wash our faces, the trick is to use a gentle and the right face wash. Certain soaps and cleansers contain chemicals that strip your skin of its natural moisture, making it dry, opt for mild face washes which have moisturizing properties and are hypoallergenic.

  • Day and Night creams

If you have dry skin then definitely invest in a moisturizer with SPF so that it can protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays, pollution and also help it fight free radicals.

  • Refrain using hot water!

Hot water tends to dry the skin out further. In summer, it is best to shower with cold water to cool the body and to prevent the skin from drying out. Keeping the body’s temperature down in summer prevents the skin from dehydration, dryness and itching.

  • A healthy diet and more water!
