The discovery of a powerful cosmic event by astronomers may be an indication of a long-suspected type of black holes. It seems as though a distant object is tearing apart a nearby star creating a lot of light and energy. This researchers feel that this may be a type of intermediate mass black hole, which can be a transitory mass between small stellar black holes and the supermassive giant ones at the center of galaxies.
