Dubai Gets First-Ever Three Michelin-Starred Restaurants

For the first time ever, Dubai now has restaurants with three Michelin stars — the highest honor in the culinary world. FZN by Björn Frantzén and Trèsind Studio were officially awarded the recognition during a star-studded ceremony held at Address Skyview this week.

A Big Win for Dubai’s Food Scene

FZN, known for its modern European dishes with Japanese twists, now holds three Michelin stars not only in Dubai, but also in Stockholm and Singapore.

Trèsind Studio, a homegrown gem led by Chef Himanshu Saini, has been on the Michelin radar since 2022. Saini’s excitement was obvious as he celebrated with air punches on stage. Meanwhile, Chef Frantzén shared that getting this honor in Dubai — 16 years after his first visit to the city — felt “unreal.”

The awards were announced by Gwendal Poullennec, the Michelin Guide’s international director. The guide, which celebrates its 125th year in 2025, only gives three stars to places with “exceptional cuisine worth a special journey.”
