Earth Hour is a global event where millions of people worldwide participate in switching off the light at a specific hour, and this is an unmissable chance to shape our future and go beyond the hour.

What is the Aim of Earth Hour

As we can see, our planet is spinning out of control since we are suffering from many environmental issues such as Climate change, Nature loss, Plastic pollution, and Food & water scarcity. So, Earth Hour is a movement for our future, a chance to raise awareness of the issues facing our planet, a call for urgent changes that will benefit our Earth, and a start to stand up against climate change and nature loss.

Earth Hour UAE

Earth Hour UAE is organized by Emirates Nature-WWF, which launched a program called the “Leaders of Change” to implement the aim of Earth Hour. The “Leaders of Change” program allows the participants to make a real transformative impact on the Climate & Nature Loss Crisis by engaging them in many environmental activities.

The “Leaders of Change” program allows people across the UAE to create change on the ground, where they organize:

Training and development
Incubation programs
Exciting volunteering environmental excursions
Environmental Activities

And all of that to achieve the UAE's global sustainability and environmental goals.

When is Earth Hour UAE?

Earth Hour is always on the last Saturday of March. According to that, Earth Hour UAE 2022 is on 26 March 2022, from 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm (UAE Timing).
