Google Just Dropped the UAE’s 2025 Search List… And It’s Surprising

If 2025 had a theme in the UAE, it was cricket — everywhere, all the time. The Asia Cup grabbed the No. 1 spot on Google’s overall trending searches, with IPL 2025 and the ICC Champions Trophy close behind. Basically, if it involved wickets and a stadium, the UAE was on it.

AI Still Owns the Tech Talk

Right after cricket, AI kept the region buzzing. Google Gemini and DeepSeek pulled huge numbers, with DeepSeek leading the Platforms category. Searches show that AI tools have officially become part of daily life, not just tech nerd talk.

Cricketers Dominate the Names List

Even in personalities, cricket stole the spotlight. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Abhishek Sharma, Priyansh Arya, Saif Hassan, Jemimah Rodrigues and Saim Ayub were the most Googled names. Safe to say, the UAE loves its cricket stars.

Movies Bring Back Nostalgia and Franchises

Film lovers also did their thing. Coolie, Saiyaara, L2: Empuraan and Kantara 2 were major search hits, plus the new Mission Impossible. Superman, F1, Final Destination: Bloodlines and War 2 made the top trends too, showing strong love for sequels and big franchises.

Sports Searches? Still Cricket

When it came to sports-specific searches, the pattern stayed the same: cricket everywhere. India vs England, Pakistan vs India, India vs Australia, and Pakistan vs South Africa topped the list. Even match-ups involving New Zealand, West Indies, Bangladesh and Afghanistan pulled high interest.

Tech Platforms Stay Busy

YouTube Music, Google AI Studio, Grok and Wayground also landed among the top tech searches, proving that people in the UAE are exploring more than just one type of platform.

Products, Toys and Everyday Picks

The iPhone continued its reign with the 17 Pro Max and Air launch leading product searches. But it wasn’t just gadgets: the Labubu toy craze, Dubai Chocolate, car-rental sites Renty.ae and OneClickDrive, luxury charter service Seven Yachts and new delivery brand Keeta all trended. Even Dr Joy Dental Clinics, Bazooka and Noon earned spots on the list — the UAE really Googles everything.
