Google Celebrates UAE National Day with Special Doodle

On 2nd of December, Google users in the UAE were in for a treat. as the search engine created a four-coloured flag fluttering in the wind doodle.

When you click on the doodle, red, green and black fireworks burst across the screen as you are taken to the 'UAE National Day' search results page.

Only this week, Emirati poet Ousha bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi, or Ousha the Poet, was honoured with a dedicated doodle.

One of the greatest Nabati poets of the 20th century, Al Suwaidi was recognised on November 28 in 2011 for her contributions to literature.
