The highly anticipated match between the arch-rivals will occur on October 15th in Ahmedabad.

The opening match between England and New Zealand in the tournament is a rematch of the 2019 final, where England gained victorious through a boundary count rule that has since been discarded.

India, as the host nation, will kick off their World Cup campaign on October 8th against Australia, a five-time World Cup-winning team. The tournament will feature a total of 10 teams, with the first eight already qualifying through the Cricket World Cup Super League. The match between India and Australia will take place in Chennai.

The remaining two spots in the World Cup will be decided through the Qualifier tournament held in Zimbabwe, which is scheduled to end on July 9th. In this tournament, each team will compete against the other nine teams in a round-robin format. The top four teams from the round-robin stage will make it through to the knockout stage, including the semi-finals.

India will face Australia in their opening match on October 5th in Chennai. The highly anticipated India-Pakistan match is set to take place on October 15th in Ahmedabad. In their previous encounter during the 2019 World Cup, India secured a significant victory against Pakistan in Manchester.

India has won all of the previous seven encounters, a record they extended to the T20 World Cups as well until now.
